A Saudi oil tanker has arrived at Yemen’s port of Aden on Monday, carrying the first batch of Saudi Arabia’s oil derivatives worth $60 million
This is part of a program for the development and reconstruction of Yemen to send Saudi oil derivatives worth $60 million per month to help operate electric power plants in all liberated Yemeni provinces
Saudi Arabia started distributing 62,000 tons of diesel and 25,000 tons of diesel fuel to 10 governorates to operate 64 power stations around the clock, under the supervision of the Yemeni government, benefiting more than 8.5 million Yemeni citizens
Commenting on the event, the Saudi ambassador to Yemen and the supervisor of the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen, Mohammed al-Jabir said: “Today we celebrate the arrival of the first tanker from the grant of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, with oil derivatives. The development of Yemen will not wait for the approval of the Houthi-backed militias of Iran to accept political solutions. We have begun development and reconstruction. We are doing what we see as a relief and development priority for all Yemenis”
