Pro-Iranian Houthi militias prevented a UN plane from landing at Sanaa International Airport on Friday
The plane was supposed to carry on board the two sons of former slain Yemeni president Ali Abdullah Saleh out of Yemen, according to a prior agreement reached with the United Nations
According to reports, the United Nations commissioned a plane to take Salah and Moudin, the sons of slain former president out of Yemen, according to the agreement which led to their release from the Houthi captivity
The plane took off from the Jordanian capital Amman airport and headed to Sanaa but the Houthis prevented its landing, forcing the plane to return to Amman after the non-response of the pro-Iranian Houthi militia to allow it to land at Sanaa airport, which confirms the lack of seriousness of the Houthi militias and their violations of international laws
It is noteworthy that the Houthis have conditioned the arrival of an Omani plane to Sanaa International Airport to transfer the former slain presidents’ relatives to the Omani capital Muscat, while the Arab coalition backing the legitimacy in Yemen agreed that a UN plane would do this mission, which was rejected by the Houthis
