Strikes targeted al-Sabaha camp in Houthi-held Sanaa, in addition to other camps in the Arhab directorate, north of Sanaa, eyewitnesses told Asharq Al-Awsat
The Houthis suffered troop and material losses in these military operations
Elsewhere, Coalition strikes focused on vital Houthi positions in a number of areas, including southern Hodeidah and the Taiz and al-Jawf fronts
On another battlefront, Yemeni Popular Resistance forces continued to wage fierce battles in southern Hodeidah as part of a military operation to liberate the Durayhmi district
“Houthi militias continue to detain people in their homes in Durayhmi, using them as human shields against advancing coalition forces,” local residents told Asharq Al-Awsat
Sources said raids targeted militia concentrations in Durayhmi, forcing the Houthis to take extreme measures against the local civilian population
The militias threatened civilians against fleeing, warning them that they will blow up their houses should they try to do so, locals reported
Meanwhile, Abdulwahid al-Ibrahimi, a top militia leader who is close to the Houthi chief, Abdulmalik al-Houthi, was shot dead by the Popular Resistance fighters in Durayhmi on August 9, witnesses said
Fighting also resumed in the al-Silw district, southeast of Taiz, after Houthis attempted to slip behind National Army defense lines and go deeper into district territories
Pro-government military operations also saw the shelling of vital Houthi posts on the al-Malajem front in the al-Bayda governorate
