Yemen: 20 #Houthi Leaders #Killed in #Hodeida Battles#

Fierce battles last week killed more than 200 from the Houthi militia including leaders at the western coast in Hodeida, military sources reported.

September Net website revealed that the battles killed more than 250 militants including 20 field leaders.

Yemeni national army captured a minimum of 143 militants during the battles at the western coast. The army’s website published names of 17 field leaders who were killed in the battles and airstrikes. 

Meanwhile, military sources affirmed to Asharq Al-Awsat that military reinforcements have arrived to the coastal front and the south of Hodeida, in preparation to liberate the city, in which the second biggest port in Yemen is found. Reinforcements include hundreds of soldiers who were trained under the supervision of the Arab Coalition.

Huras Aljmhuria tweeted that a new battalion of the training camps will arrive in the western coast after completion of the training and arming phases.

In Taiz, the Arab Coalition jets destroyed locations belonging to Houthis. A military source said that the coalition jets targeted zones for insurgent Houthi militias, leading to destruction of arms and military vehicles of the insurgents.

In Marib, field military sources said that the Yemeni national army liberated 3 military locations that were under the control of Houthi militias, following battles that resulted in casualties.

In Al-Bayda a source from the popular resistance said to Asharq Al-Awsat that the battles were renewed in Qania.
